Details:

I recently downloaded from Frugalware mirror FTP8 the 1.3pre1 USB image, intending to use it to boot a netbook. I wrote the image twice under Linux and twice under Windows to the same USB key but couldn't get it to boot correctly. Each time I booted, the kernel was loaded successfully, but GDB started soon after, I presume because some sort of fatal error had occurred.

I finally decided to try the 1.2 USB image anf bingo!, it worked, with the image having been written to the USB key under Windows.

From this I guess that the image I downloaded (several times) may be corrupt. Of course it may be been corrupted on download, or it may be corrupt only on this one mirror. Could someone please also test booting to the 1.3pre1 USB image?
