- pidgin: some plugins don't work
Attached to Project: Frugalware
Opened by: Gabor Locsei (LGee) - Wed, 19 May 2010 15:16:44 +0200
Details:
Hello,
Looks like Pidgin doesn't load several plug-ins:
$ pidgin --debug
...
(15:12:46) plugins: /usr/lib/purple-2/libymsg.so is not usable because the 'purple_init_plugin' symbol could not be found. Does the plugin call the PURPLE_INIT_PLUGIN() macro?
(15:12:46) plugins: /usr/lib/purple-2/libjabber.so is not usable because the 'purple_init_plugin' symbol could not be found. Does the plugin call the PURPLE_INIT_PLUGIN() macro?
(15:12:46) plugins: /usr/lib/purple-2/liboscar.so is not usable because the 'purple_init_plugin' symbol could not be found. Does the plugin call the PURPLE_INIT_PLUGIN() macro?
...
And while you are there, could you please take a look at the 'meanwhile' (Lotus Sametime plug-in) package? Looks like it is not detected by pidgin if the package is installed to its default location (libs under /usr/lib/), but even if I move the libs to /usr/lib/purple-2/, I'm getting the above error.
Many thanks
LGee
